The system of education was the initial interest of commerce from the Hudson Bay Company's. The corporations who collaborated with churches to create institutions. They were geared towards english speaking, English songs, etc... The intent was to teach obedience, punctuality, to remain silent, to learn not to talk back. Another intent was to learn, to read, to write and learn English to a network of people. In Canada it was the colonialist model. For the First Nations people it was residential schools. The First Nations were assimilated into the mainstream school system. The men had agricultural roles and the women had housekeeping roles. Another aspect of the reflection is the story of the Whale Hat, the Tlingit Dakl'aweidi killer which was a public domain, West Coast people who owned it. These people were kin and no longer are alive to retrieve it. The artifact of the West Coast people was sent to the Chicago museum, due to the huge cost it was not sent to the community. The repatriation of the cultural heritage of the community. It was an expense the community could not afford. The community could not have ownership and control. It was a delicate situation., so a museum was built, with the notion of digital repatriation. This was done by the Smithsonian and 3-D image space, in order to preserve and a lasting design.
